SHORE



SHORE is a positive accelerated strategy program providing students the opportunity to reclaim course credit for work they are missing or have failed. Students are given the opportunity to redo coursework or retake an entire course through alternate means, while working with highly trained staff, to earn academic credit and ensure graduation requirements are met.

SHORE IS ONLY AVAILABLE ON CAMPUS & IN PERSON (PER MAURY COUNTY ADMIN REQUIREMENTS)

 

Purpose of SHORE:

To help students reach their potential by providing opportunities to be successful by offering social, emotional, and academic learning support and credit recovery.

    • All SHORE work has to be completed at Spring Hill High School (1 Raider LN, Columbia, TN).
    • There is no “Remote” option per the district. 
    • The times are from: See at the top of the page for dates and times.
    • We will have SHORE in B217. Students will bring and use their own devices during SHORE (or one will be provided).
    • Drop Off & Pick Up are at the front of the school only: No bussing available.​
    • The student will attend the entire day starting at 7:30 am. Once they are done with all SHORE work, they do not have to keep attending. 
    • We suggest students bring drinks and any snacks they may want or need. Coach Twigg will try to provide some snacks and drinks on a limited basis that students can have (Jet Packs).
    • Lastly, we are working with the lists provided by teachers. Students will have to contact teachers if they believe a mistake was made.​

No Bussing for SHORE - No Lunches or Breakfasts are provided; please bring your own lunches and/or snacks.

The SHORE times are from: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Summer Dates, May 28th - June 10th - (Students: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm)

Pickup and drop-off will be in front of the school only.

Make sure to Message Benton Alexander on TEAMS if you need to be let in the building in the mornings. It is also helpful to let us know the day before if you are going to attend.
